Model Portfolio Photoshoot – Surrey
I love doing the Model Portfolio Photoshoots. They’re always great fun and the results can be absolutely stunning.
Yasmin, my client for this shoot was no exception. As you watch the video you’ll see her images get stronger and stronger and stronger as her shoot progressed. The Model for a Day shoot isn’t just about the images though. It’s also about the experience. It’s about as close as I can make it to a genuine fashion shoot or magazine shoot.
Many many thanks and Yasmin was absolutely thrilled with the shoot today. You made her feel comfortable, confident and she enjoyed the day tremendously. Let me know when you are ready to come over to us and we can peruse the pictures and choose loads. I thought you were fantastic and your team were phenominal.
Thank you so much
Lesley and Yasmin xxxx
The Before Shot…
This was Yasmin’s “Before” shot, our starting point for her porfolio. It’s fresh, fun and girlie but not really a model shot. It’s a great starting point and we had about 3.5 hours ahead of us to improve and make something magical.
Yasmin’s Model Portfolio Photoshoot
By the time we cme to Shot 3 (below), we were starting to work together as a team. Yasmin was getting more and more confident and this really started to show in her images. Time to change it up a gear 🙂
Shot 4 and I asked for slightly darker eye make-up. Notice how much older Yasmin looks now?
By shot 5, Yasmin was starting to experiment with her poses and expressions and having a lot more fun too. We changed the lighting slightly too by turrning off the background lights to give great background for a change. This was a great series of images. Simple and beautiful.
Shot 6 was back to fun and girlie again. She needed more of these for her portfolio. This time I asked for attitude, rebellion, “whatever!” We worked around a story as I wanted lots of expression for this set. Yasmin rose to the challenge and delivered her best images so far. More importantly she also started to have a lot more fun.
Shot 7 was a dramatic, edgey look. Again, another lighting change adn this time much heavier make-up. Yasmin had shows a talent for beauty images in our sequence for shot 5 and I wanted to explore this to see how far she could take it. This was her second photoshoot, the previous one being over 2 years ago so she was still getting to grips with everything but just look how amazing the images were that she produced.
Shot 9 – we had literally only a few minutes to work on this shot as we were rapidly running out of studio time. As model portfolios go Yasmin had made some great images already so this shot was purely experimental to see what we could accomplish. 9 shots is also a lot to achieve too so huge thank you to my team for working so hard at producing some great images. Yasmin was a real trooper too pulling this stunning image out of the bag.
This was an incredible shoot for a new model. Yasmin created some great images for her portfolio and that doesn’t come without a lot of hard work and effort. This was by no means a cheap shoot. Studio hire and make-up fees don’t come on a budget but they’re well worth paying the extra for. A good make-up artist, such as Irina who I used for this shoot, is well worth it and hopefully that comes across in the images here.
