Introducing the Blog

This is the latest update to my Gavin Thorn Photography site – the GTP Blog. Some of you may already be aware that I already run a blog, http://theLightMatters.com that is aimed specifically at photographers but this one is different. I’m writing it for clients and prospective clients to give useful hints and tips about my services and products, how to prepare for and get the most from your photo-shoot and to foster discussion.

GTP Blog – The Vision…

My posts will cover all aspects of my photography services and provide the reader with advice, hints and tips. They are intended to be lighthearted and to foster discussion amongst my client community. If you feel you’re not getting the right content or enough content please let me know. My blog is intended to be read and the content to add value to the reader. If you find it doesn’t I’d like to hear about it so I can make improvements. Many of the posts will be seasonal, just like my business. At the moment, as we’re heading toward the end of 2011 we are very much into the wedding photography booking season. My first few posts will be based around this.

I’ll also be posting about my hopes and aspirations for 2012. What I intend to achieve. New products and services I’ll be introducing and the direction I’ll be taking my business in the future.

2011 has been an incredible year and in a few weeks I’ll be writing about all the amazing things that have happened which far exceeded my expectations some 11 months ago. It hasn’t been without difficulty though but that’s what makes it all the more challenging, rewarding and fulfilling. I hope this has been reflected in my work and I certainly have a lot of happy and satisfied customers as a result.

Although my plans for 2012 are far from finalised I can give you a sneaky glimpse of the future…

More Clients…

…to build on the successes of 2011

More Services…

…I’ll be spinning up my one-on-one and group training services
…I’ll also be providing specialist services for actor’s headshots and corporate headshots to build upon the success of my social media headshot package
…Retainer service

A New Brand…

…Shhhh…You heard it here first but in 2012 I’ll be introducing a new brand into the GTP portfolio. I can’t say what it is yet as it’s still a secret but it’s going to be fun

Conclusion

2011 has been great. 2012 is already shaping up to be much, much better. There is a lot to do and it’s going to be hard work, but I’m really excited about it.
